The musicians from the Youth Orchestra of Andalusia put on such a great show. Miguel Colom was unable to participate in the end, however Amaury Coeytaux stepped in at the last minute.  His extraordinary contributions greatly contributed to the overall success of the concert.

Pablo Heras-Casado, the great, international director, simply blew our minds with his charisma and ability to connect the crowd directly to every musician on that stage. Everyone in the Teatro de la Maestranza de Sevilla theater emphatically responded with varios roaring, standing ovations, further highlighting the overall success of the event for everyone involved.

We believe in and share the mission of the Barenboim-Said Foundation.  We truly have so much in common in terms of bringing individuals together to use their creativity to build a better, safer, and more just society and world.  Our participation in this initiative was a direct consequence of that conviction, coupled with our firm declaration that Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Spain is ready to bring our human rights education program to students all around Andalusia, and that our nation’s youth are the stars of the show, and primary focus of our efforts.  They are the ones who will be tasked with using their talent and training to overcome the myriad new challenges they will encounter.  We want be a part of their preparation and put all of our energy and efforts into helping ensure that they are adequately trained and empowered.

The concerts that were to take place in the cities of Granada and Cordoba have been postponed due to public health concerns.

We would like to wholeheartedly thank everyone who made this initiative possible, especially the entire team at the Barenboim-Said foundation (Muriel Paez, Ana Julia, Raquel Gilabert, Juan Fernandez Pantoja, Miguel Colom, and additionally Amaury Coeytaux together with the Master Pablo Heras Casado, everyone at the Teatro de la Maestranza, the Andalusian local government (Junta de Andalucía), and Patricia del Pozo, Councilor of Culture and Historical Heritage of the Regional Government of Andalusia for her tremendous support.
