Robert F. Kennedy Human Rightswas founded by family and friends of Senator Kennedy in 1968, and is based in Washington DC. Its primary mission is to promote and help fulfill RFK’s legacy and dream of a more peaceful and just world through numerous initiatives that include education, awareness, and direct, organized, focused social action designed to effectuate social change both locally, and internationally.

After the successful adaptation, implantation and launch of RFK Human Rights’ Speak Truth to Power (STTP) human rights education program several years prior, RFK Spain was officially created in 2018. STTP is an initiative designed to raise awareness among and empower students. Principle partners in the early years included Fundación International Studies at CIS – The College for International Studies, Fundación Gregorio Peces-Barba, Fulbright Spain, and the Education Ministry of Madrid .
